First of all, Arduino boards like the Uno use an AVR microcontroller so that's not a very accurate way to explain what you're looking for but I understand. If your hardware is configured the same as a certain Arduino board then you can just use an equivalent board from the menu. If your hardware is different then you will need to install support for it. The easiest way to do this is by using Boards Manager. For the ATmega328p there is , optiboot, or the Barebones ATmega Chips (no bootloader) entry on the Boards Manager URLs page

Hi Matt.It probably happened when you upgraded to Arduino 1.8.8You may need to remove the all espressif folder and install the ESP32 boards again in your IDE.Follow bullet 2 to remove the espressif folder, and then follow bullet 1 to install the add-on again: -the-esp32-board-in-arduino-ide-windows-instructions/I hope this helps.Regards,Sara

There are three installation options available, the traditional with Arduino IDE, the new method using Visual Studio Code + PlatformIO and the third one that is uploading the compiled firmware directly to the board. I recommend the PlatformIO option for most of the users, once the software is downloaded, the firmware can be upgraded in less than 5 minutes.

To the matey who was talking about his BL touch x2 deploy & stow, can i please3 pick yo7ur brain for a min you said this problem was after a firmware flash is that correct also could you please give me any details you can think of even the smallest of configs you may or may not of made work but i need both working and not yet working flashes firmware titles config or parts replace or repair .
